What does creativity mean to me? How do I define it and what ways have I been creative in my career? Great question. So let's start off with the first component, which is around defining creativity. Creativity for me. Is about the ability to approach a problem and to generate ideas that people haven't considered before.
It's about changing our level of thinking so that we see a problem differently, and we can also generate ideas that other people haven't considered to do. In some ways, it's about joining dots that other people have never thought to consider in order to solve a problem or to create an idea.
Creativity to me means that it is a tool that can enable me to generate great ideas, to solve problems for the companies I consult with, for myself, for my own business, for my wife's company, and so on. It's an incredibly valuable business tool, but also it can be an incredibly great artistic tool enable just to express yourself, whether it's in music or art or writing, and the sort.
In some of the ways I've experienced creativity in my own life, I mean, every day I try and bring in some creativity, whether it's about how I might approach a problem, how I might communicate to one of my clients, how I might think of playing with my children or my family, or ways that we can be more creative in our day-to-day activities.
Generally, my life wouldn't be what it is unless I applied creativity.
I hope that gives you some clues on how to be more creative.
